light me up

I don't smoke but I wish that I did. Firstly it looks cool- it just does and anyone who says it doesn't isn't cool. Secondly you have reason to have a Zippo which in themselves are about the coolest things on the planet. When you bring the two together and light your Lucky Strike (soft pack obv.) with your Zippo then you are, for that second, about as shit hot as you can get.

So I bring you a Zippo of Japan x FUCT colab which commemorates the bond between a soldier and his Zippo during the Vietnam war. Marines would often engrave pictures, sayings or regiment numbers on to the blank canvas of their Zippo.

the decapitator is back and is better than you, banksy

The Decapitator is back, and I like his style! The anonymous street artist has loped the head off of SJP on a billboard in London. This stuff is alot better than other famous street artists such as Banksy, who's only saving grace is that he isn't all those chumps who go around with stencils trying to be Banksy. A stencil isn't a statement, now fuck off.

Keep up the good work Decapitator. Banksy, die.

going out in a blaze of glory

Missed these Puma Blaze Of Glorys from a few days ago, so here they are. Dropping in the Autumn they will come in two colourways- black/sliver and white/pink. Originally re-released (that has to be bad English) a short while ago the Blaze Of Glory is essentially the Disc Blaze without the disc compartment. I think they look pretty boss, hopefully there will be more colourways on offer shortly to add to these and the Puma x Sneaker Freaker colab which also looked the business.

eurotrash

Seriously how the fuck did this not win Eurovision? It has to be the song of the year.

patently cool

Patent leather is the best hide, that shit is basically indestructible scuff proof, stain proof and chump proof. You really cant go far wrong with patent leather in my book, so nike scores highly with me for this new pseudo patent leather pack. Not an actual pack but 3 releases linked by their patent leather/mesh toe box construction.

lohan has her pelt sued off

How the hell did I miss this? Lindsay (my hero) goes to a party, because that's her job now, does her usual Lindsay-at-a-party-awesome-stuff then leaves with someone else's $12000 mink coat. Stolen or accidentally taken, whichever that coat is Lindsay's now so she starts wearing it. Gets photographed looking just fabulous in it and said photo's are published in OK! magazine. Rightful owner of the coat, a New York college student (with a $12000 mink coat- she sounds well annoying) sees Lindsay in said coat and bitches and whines till she gets it back, undeservedly.

Ok so everything is is returned to its original owner and we can all get on with our lives? Apparently not because now the annoying owner of Lindsay's mink coat is now suing for $10000 because it smells of fags and booze. Of course it does, Lindsay rages twenty-four seven and that is her natural funk.

consort-me-a-pair-out

This is the Adidas Consortium P-Sole and it's well fucking nice. The upper is suede over the toe going back into checked canvas (I think) I'll be able to give you more info after I've bought a pair which is what I'm going to see about doing now.

erm am i wrong?

Right, I've not been out the house in a few days nor have I had sex for even longer than that, plus there's a good chance I am allergic to caffeine and I've just drank a cup of coffee all of these things may be contributing to me thinking that Britney doesn't look half bad in that bikini. Seriously am I wrong? Can someone clear this up for me please.

get (aero)fit

Really does any company make any new trainers anymore? You see less and less of them- and that's not at all a bad thing seeing as the whole industry kinda blasted a big fat load all over the 80's and early 90's. There are so many good trainers sitting in Nike, Adidas and Reebok's collective archives that there seems little point any more, aesthetically speaking anyway. When you have new technology but want to keep that old school look then just update an old design like Nike have done with the Air Max 90 Current or the SuperBlazer. Which leads me onto, in a kinda none related way, to the Nike Aerofit originally released in 1987 possibly as Nike's answer to Reebok's Freestyle because they look basically the same, which are due to drop in the autumn with around 6 different colour ways.

omgwtf!!!!111111

Ex jail bait faux lesbians tATu are back with a hard hitting gritty new song and video. With gratuitous nudity and and super shocking climax I nearly soiled myself with excitement over this video. Hard to keep up with the narrative of the vid but it looks like the Russian two are out to offend. What will they think of next, a duet with Garry Glitter perhaps? Just a thought.

The new song is called Beliy Plaschik, which means White Robe, but do you really care? All you need to know is tATu are freaking back!

shizzle my nizzle it's a new spizike!

New black and gold colour way for the legendary Air Jordan Spizikes. Think they look real nice in a more subtle colour way such as this. The blue and yellow never really worked for me.

miami nike

Preview of a new pack from Nike based on the bright lights and sunny beaches of Miami is available over on hypebeast.com . The pack is all Air Max and looks fairly similar to last years Snowcone pack. Also its worth mentioning that it looks like Nike is getting away from using nasty leather for construction, which is particularly horrible when used for the toe box of Air Max- no one likes a leathery box.

escape from reebok

Reebok have done well releasing whole new lines of Pumps and this colab with Bodega is not to be sniffed at and will be available from the 31st of may from Bodega.

"Designed by Bodega, the Escape Pack was inspired by the renegade, borderline legal, semi-dangerous, insanely cheap, revolutionary, independently run bus lines that link Boston's Chinatown to NYCs Chinatown.

Retailing for $200(USD), the pack includes everything you need to escape to another city for an overnight excursion. An exquisitely designed Reebok Omni Pump Lite is the centerpiece of the project featuring a luminous jade and charcoal color-way detailed with a map of the route embossed on the ankle collar. A matching 5-panel cap by "ELM" and tee are also included in the pack. Various essentials including, but not limited to, mix-tapes, rolling, papers, paint markers, and good luck charms round out the contents of this extremely limited release. Only 100 Escape packs have been produced. Within ONE of the packs is a GOLDEN TICKET upgrade. The lucky winner of the upgrade will get airfare to anywhere in the continental US, as well as a suitcase filled with past limited releases from Reebok."

If you get a chance to lay your hands on a pair, which you won't, then do at all costs.

clark x fuct

In a similar vein as the Richard Kern x Mishka colab comes the Larry Clark x Fuct colab. There is only one t-shirt available with a print of Tiffany Limos wearing the Fuct Erik as Ace Tee, the star of Clarks controversial film KEN PARK.

lily allen gets role as pat butchers breast double

Lily! You look like Pat Butcher. Cut it out.

(You can take from this that there are topless pics of Lily Allen floating around the internet today, happy hunting.)

mishka kern

Mishka are leading their 08 collection with t-shirts by Richard Kern, the 4 T's each available in 4 colours will feature some of Kern's most influential work. Read the blurb from the the Mishka website:

"Printed on 4 simple colors, the Kern for Mishka capsule illuminates the story of some of his most intriguing models including Lung Leg, a prominent scenster of the 1980s akin to Edie Sedgwick, that Kern can be accredited with discovering. To properly capture the collection, we invited renowned erotic photographer Ellen Stagg – also a former Kern model – to shoot the special Look Book. Very much a disciple of Richard Kern, Ellen’s portfolio includes clients like VHI Publicity, I-D, Life, Mass Appeal, The Fader, MTV, Vogue, Interview and VICE Magazine to name a few."

I have to say I have little time for Richard Kern, perhaps I should have more- but I do really like these T's and will be keeping my beady eye out for them.

max 90 - past, present and future

This is the Max 90 Current (which I missed from a few days ago) its a contemporary revamp of the old Max 90 in the classic infrared colour way, and I like it.

Below is a video from Nike of Max 90's of the past, present and future. If you're not into Nike runners then don't bother as it will bore you stiff.

take my daughter, please

Lots of cash but no love in your life?

Have a penchant for jail bait bible belt girls?

Then boy do I have a website for you! Marryourdaughter.com is a web site where the parents of eligible young ladies sell their daughters for marriage. The price of these wholesome hunnies ranges from about $5000 to $50000 and I assume you get what you pay for.

The website is a joke but the concept is almost believable.

when photographers go bad

I am going to be sorely disappointed if that is actually the texture of Mischa Barton's bum. Firsty becase no 22 year old should look like that but secondly it means that this photo has not been photoshopped by a photographer then sold to The Daily Mail out of spite. The photographer who took these photos got an earful off Mischa for taking topless shots of her, so he allegedly photoshopped her rear to make it look like quite frankly hanging. Better yet The Daily Mail has blamed the aged appearance of Barton's backside on her smoking habit and claims the photo's are untouched. Quality stuff.

nike air max 90 flywire

These are pretty cool... I think.

As aesthetically my jury is out on these I'll talk about the construction. These are made with a super spunky wire technology which adds strength but reduces weight, you can actually see the wire at work on the outside of the upper making sure your feet stay inside the upper. Awesome.

happeh birfdah silas!

Silas are one of my all time favourite clothing brands for their awesome t-shirts so it's blooming bloody good to see them honouring their 10th birthday by releasing a line of T's celebrating their achievements over the years.

Available now from Dedue.

i'm not dead.

My posts are sporadic and sparse at the moment due to my poor access to the internet. I can only apologise. Normal service will be resumed a.s.a.p.

Gourmet summer 08 t-shirts have landed over at 5 & A Dime. Check em out, some are nice others ain't so hot IMHO.

i  silas

The Silas summer 08 look book is now available for preview over at highsnobiety.com

From the preview it looks like you will be seeing a lot more classic looks from Silas, with less emphasis on the logo t-shirts (which I love) but we shall see...

yo mancs take notice

The Carhartt store has finally opened in Manchester today. From what I have gathered from photos the shop fit looks awesome and should hold some pretty decent stock. I will be checking it out next time I'm in Mancunia, I must know somewhere who works there...

Oh yeah the store is on Oldham Street (obviously).

bonnie and...

Clydes are another trainer that are pretty consistently good, perhaps a little wide for my liking but an icon none the less. These are two of three highly contrasting colourways available now from Ubiq.

nike face

These two t-shirts from CPTL are pretty boss. They be kinda self explanatory and are available from Karmaloop.

jackass and terry

Vice Magazine said that Terry Richardson is the reason you see vaginas in photography today. Fair enough, but I have the internet which has more vaginas than you can shake a stick at.

I've never seen the appeal of Terry Richardson but I suppose he does have a certain (if not repetitive) style and I dislike him less now than I used to. He is currently exhibiting his Jackass collection at LaForet Museum in Harajuku. The collection comprises of shots of the Jackass cast and crew and a collection of merchandise.

'Meehhhh' part two

Yeah I knew this shit would be online somewhere but it's not as satisfying as I thought it would be. Still funny to think of the little fella bashing his head into the wall.

tennis pumps

Whatever happens in this life one thing stays a constant and that is that Reebok Pumps are awesome.

These two Court Victory Pumps are part of the Purple Haze pack based on the Jimi Hendrix song of the same name, which is set to drop this fall. Excited? Me too.
